In a period marked by the discomfort and uncertainty, the solace provided by food has gain a new dimension. One of the trends emerging during the Pandemic of COVID19 is related to the flavours that take us back to our childhood memories associated to food!
A Market study, by Innova Markets, reveals that one third of consumers worldwide has increased the preference for nostalgic and traditional flavours during the pandemic.
Although this trend runs athwart through all areas of the food industry, it is prominent in areas such as beverages, confectionery, sweet snacks and pastry, savoury snacks, and cheese.
